National Public Gardens Day is for everyone who loves nature; especially artists. The Albuquerque Bio Park Botanic Garden marked the day with a special celebration that included demonstrations, talks and lectures. The Rio Rancho Art Association helped with this celebration by showing up with their easels and paints-eager to capture the beauty before them in this spectacular garden.

Nora Curran Sanders and Thea Morton of the Rio Rancho Art Association were quick to take advantage of this unique garden event. They showed up with their easels and paints and went to 'work'!

Nora's passion is Chinese brush painting. Such a perfect setting to work in! Is it really 'work'?
Thea Morton looks like she really had a great time too!
And, her work shows that she did indeed have a wonderful time.
A huge thanks to the Albuquerque Bio Park for giving our artist free passes to this event so that they could create in the most perfect setting. I know we had other RRAA artists there, but I think they were 'under the radar'! And, a particularly huge thanks to RRAA member, Morgan Tiffany Janiak for making this possible for RRAA to participate in. And for providing us with these wonderful photographs! I hope we get to do it again next year! Maybe with photographers too?? One can only hope....
